"4th argument [COM PORT] wrong" reading lite-on key

I bought myself a pci serial card as my pc has no serial ports and want to use iprep for flashing my lite-on. I keep getting this error "4th argument [COM PORT] wrong" when using dlite. I can use jungleflasher to read the key fine but my pc always stalls when writing the flash with jungleflash. this is why I would like to use iprep for reading and flashing the drive. Does anybody use a pci serial card with iprep with no problems? the pci card has two serial ports and I tried both but same error.
How should I go about using jungleflasher to read and build my firmware and using iprep to flash the drive?
By the way I am using a Via 6421 sata card with ck3 probe.

to see if we can get one to work
no luck so far

you can dump all your file from the lite-on dvd drive then just use iprep to flash it in
have a look at this.

this is for when it locks up after a erase
but
you just want do the erase and start like you did.

I was afraid that the pci serial was causing problems.
Should I create my custom firmware with jungleflasher and then use dosflash to flash the drive as per your tutorial, ignoring the l-o-eras part?

you can do it like that
but
you will have to do the l-o-eras
2 times
just like the video

you have to erase that flash chip

make damn sure you have a good dump and a good dummy.bin
keep everything but that dummy.bin has all your stuff in it.

the big thing is it has your dvd drive ser info that you need.

So Ifollow your tutorial exactly even though the drive is not locked up as not gonna try and erase flash with jungleflasher?
I am flashing my lite-on to 1.51 and of course have good dummy backed up and will do again.
