I'm having a terrifically frustrating time. I've used both a DIYGadget key dumper kit, and a homemade transistor serial-ttl converter, and I can't get the key. Windows XP32, DOS, Jungle Flasher, DVDKey, DosFlash, nothing works. When I try Jungle Flasher, I get nothing when I follow every tutorial. The ones on this site, the Jungle Flasher pdf, everything, and nothing ever works. This is what I do:
Use DIYGadget to eject drive, unplug power, push drive in half-way to 80% (I keep trying new distances), plug back in, insert probe into R707, click get key. Everytime I get "Bad Serial Data", or an error in dvdkey, or a BC=0 error in Xtractor. I used a multimeter to check everything, and I get all of the right voltages and everything. I've assembled numerous Serial-TTL converters, in addition to using the one from the kit, and nothing works. Testing the serial in hyperterm works, I get the loopback when I connect pins 2 and 3, the TX and RX.
Is it possible I just can't use my chipset? Everything works, jungle flasher recognizes the drive, but I can never get the key or anything else. I get nothing, not even CCCC's or 0000's. I know I'm getting the R707 connection because of the voltage drop on the serial. There is no reason this should not work the way I've done it. Can anyone help? I've noticed other posts, on this forum and others, that complain of simply being unable to get the key and getting the same error every time. What can I do?
Intel P35 chip can't get key? Bad Serial?
Re: Intel P35 chip can't get key? Bad Serial?
that is a safty in junglr flasher
that dvd drive has bad ser data on it.
your ser data is not complete
that is if that drive has been flashed before
as long as that is the case
you have to move your key in to the new v1.51 firmware
from the first dump
that drive will not be 100% live safe (fyi)
there is a way to recover your ser data but i have not messed with it yet.

Re: Intel P35 chip can't get key? Bad Serial?
Has the drive been flashed before? And does it play originial disc? I'm assuming so if it hasn't been flashed before. It sounds like you have sound technical knowledge and understand the basics behind the dumping process, but for this to not work in any program is strange. How old is your 360, what's the model number of the drive? Have you tried other SATA cables or other SATA ports? I'm trying to think of everything I can to eliminate any possible issue.

Re: Intel P35 chip can't get key? Bad Serial?
Never flashed the drive before. I've got a new Jasper Arcade Xbox, manufactured in January. It plays originals no problem. Everything is stock. Honestly none of this makes any sense to me, I know it should work but it doesn't. I'm about ready to take it to someone, just because nothing I do seems to work. How much room for error is there in this process? Is it right to have the drive connected to molex through the DIYGadget, with the serial connected when I boot? I've tried different SATA ports too, but nothing changes.
Is it possible this is an SATA problem? I've got PortIO installed, appears fine in device manager, the installer says it is fine, and in Jungleflasher I have it on I/O address 0xE700, SATA, Primary/Master and on my Intel ICH9 Family 2 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 2. That seems correct, no?

Re: Intel P35 chip can't get key? Bad Serial?
of course im not sure about the "diy" stuff
have you tryed to solder the 707 point and not use the diy stuff and see what happens.
on a side note.
we will work with you till all options are gone
but
you can have a look here
at least you can know you can get it going.
