can't get key from 0078

hey guys im fixing someones xbox and they cant seem to play games at all when booted on the dashboard the drive is stuck at open tray. So i dont know if its the pcb or the drive??? any ideas. Well I have a ms28 lying around and tried to spoof it but when i do the insert disk for 20 secs for the hitachi it wont even read or detect that there is a game or dvd but windows do see the drive i can eject and close through windows. so im stuck w/o getting a key. also I switched drives from a defected ms 28 defected to a new m28 drive and just switched pcb boards. will this method work for the gdr-3120l 0078? thanks.

it's definitely worth a try. Unfortunately, you'll need to get that drive to read a disk before you can dump the key

do you have to put a disc in with jungle flasher
i no you dont on the older hit dvd drives
maybe worth a try
