Hi folks first post here ands first attempt flashing.
Using a Dell Dimension 5000, Iprep, Samsung Firmware.
Tried to boot of USB stick but cant get it to work so made a NTFS dos DISK.
Once at prompt with NTFS Disk, i have my USB stick in and i select USB Drive E:
at E: Prompt i type INTRO
when i type dsam , i disconnect my SATA C Drive and have my 360 drive powered on, i plug SATA cable(that i just disconnected from my C Drive into 360 DRIVE.
FOLLOW instruction s ad i get a list of primary the Xtreme master and Extreme slave( I guess this is good)
i power of xbox360 drive then select xtreme master, the screen shot from video looks the same. i count to 10 then power on x360 drive and nothing happens like it does in the video.
Anyone seen this before?
should i buy another Sata cable and leave my SATA Cdrive connected all the time and plug this to motherboard and into the 360 drive when prompted.
please help
thanks in advance

Re: following video tutorial
I'm assuming you are using an on board sata plug (built into the mother board). This rarely works. You will need a sata card that plugs into the pci slot on the mother board. you will need a VIA VT6421A Serial ATA RAID PCI Controller Card. This is the one a lot of us use. 12 bucks, you can't beat it.

Re: following video tutorial
we all use the usb flash or a floppy to flash there maybe some one that does it that was but i dont.
on my dell
i used iprep to build the flash then power done the computer
power on the computer go strait to the bios and set boot from other devices
the change the setting and put usb zip on top
then boot
i cant do a restart it wont work.i have to power down.
the other thing you have to remember is if you do get the floppy or flash working your sata harddrive must be unpluged or firmtool wont run and build your hacked firmware.

yes m8 using on board SATA
cant find a card at such short notice, may have to wait to order one.
some people say its all in the timing

Re: following video tutorial
most mobo on board sata will not work
Re: following video tutorial
would it still let me see xtreme master then hang reading or flashing drive if the onboard chipset wasnt compatible
cheers

Re: following video tutorial
the v25 is the same as the v28
the first time you wont have to do the 10 sec trick to get in and you want to hit Y to spoof to v28 when it ask
you did start over right
build your usb flash every thing new
by the way this was not the right place to post a question
this is for guides and thing like that.

yes wiped usb totally then rebuilt, still same error.
does it really matter what you call serial number as long as its in right format eg dsam 1234567 12345
thanks again

Re: following video tutorial
No the serial is just a reference number to help you keep track of where your fw is. Other than that it could be any random set of 7 then 5 numbers.
