BTW i just ordered my ck3 pro with probe THANKS GUYs and i hope its the one with the corrected power thing.

So as i was doing more reasearch the simplest question popped into my head is their any ofw for liteon? so yes here we are:

how would i know the difference between the new ck3 with the power thing right so i wont burn out my drive?

The lite-on has no OFW at the moment. When you dump the drive, your not actually getting a full dump. It's designed to not dumpt the firmware, but you can get the key, identity and inquiry in order to make a dummy.bin, but thats it. I had heard that they were working on a firmware that makes it like stock, but I haven't heard anything after that.

As for the CK3 and plugging it in upside down, it is easy to do if your not watching, but if you watch it, you'll know the right way to plug it in. The new CK3's have a protection circuit to protect against just that, so you might contact the reseller that your buying from to make sure that it's the new one to be on the safe side.

As far as I know there is no OFW for a Lite-On, so once its flashed it has to stay flashed. They will probably release an OFW for it, or a method for making one...

As for the plug, look closely at the pins. You will be able to tell which way is the right way and which is wrong. Once figured out grab a sharpie and mark the plug and the drive, then you will know what way to plug it in.

Did you just buy the CK3? If so I believe there is some special circuit on the board that will not let you fry your drive. It cuts power or something like that. I dont really know the specifics, but it basically stops you from frying your drive. If you got an 'old' ck3 I believe you can send it back and get the new one.

I only have 1 xbox lol and BTW im 13, and I program hack etc, but my parents don't believe i can do it so thats 1 reason im doing this

but i know im probably going to flash it with jungle flasher with ixtreme 1.5


its just im wondering, should i get the keys and all that from jungle flasher and burn the actual ix1.5 with IPREP because i want the easiest and safest way 2 play please respond soon Cofree and/or Sadalius

Well, if you talk to the people that came up with this stuff, they'll tell you to use jungleflasher. But personally, I don't think it matters too much as long as you build the hacked firmware right. I'vé used Jungleflasher to build the firmware and then used dosflash to flash with, I've used jungle exclusively. Both ways work fine for me,

you will need ti flash with the ix v1.51 not v1.5

You need to understand that this could brick your dvd drive and it would not play anything but

This is what I meant by building your firmware right. You also need to pay attention to connecting power sources and such correctly or you could smoke the drive too.

My parents understand, thanks you guys so much because in this economy, this is like my way to have fun, Im going to do what sadalius said, Ill build my 1.51(thanks cofree) firmware in jungleflasher and erase and burn it in IPREP 8.8

I know i have 1 xbox 360 spent about 100 on this project and thanks to you fellows, ill remember RHPG and be a active member.

No I haven't used iprep to flash it with. I was aware of a problem with iprep but I didn't know exactly what the problem was, so I did not even try it. I have used only jungleflasher by itself and then the jungleflasher and dosflash combo.

what i did was take my orig dump (dummy.bin)
an put that in under the "open source firmware"
then input the ix v1,51 hack firmware under the " open target firmware"
then spoof to target
that put my info in the v1.51 hacked firmware
then "save to file"

but here is where it get different
i named that save as "litcfw.bin"
that is what the iprep 8.8 will be looking ofr

then i started iprep made a boot disc
in the backup folder i put two folders
the first named 1234567,the 2nd named 12345
in the 2nd folder i put the copy on v1.51 that i had made with jungle(but was named for iprep)
then booted on the flash drive and went right to
flit 1234567 12345
and
it was perfect.

iprep will do the erasing for you when you go to flash the drive.

Configuration is correct

To get the key, inquiry and identify bin files, you use jungleflasher and the probe from the CK3. This will be the first thing you do to the drive. Connect the drive and get it in the tray half closed state, open jungleflaher and click the DVDKey 32 tab. Insert the probe intot he R707 hole and then click Get Key, Create Bummy.bin, Open as Source button. Do not lake the probe out until the key, identify, inquiry and dummy files have been created though. Once they are you can remove the probe.
