Flash Problem

Post by JP0503 »

Ok . This is going to sound pretty lame to some of you pros. But I was told by 2 people to just post what the problem is and the more eyes the better . SO here goes....

I have a Samsung MS25 drive. Currently running ixtreme 1.4 . Im trying to go up to 1.51. Heres my problem. Have the usb drive all formatted. I can get into iprep and i agree to the terms. It tries to find my drive. All I get is 1. Xtreme Master and 2. Xtreme Slave. It asks me to send MTK vendor. So I heard to hit Y for yes and restart the drive and should start. No go. Staus went from x51. Turn drive off xD1 . and then back on x51. Nothing. I can hit ESC and it asks me what do I want to do . R for read . W for write and E for erase. Now back to MTK vendor. If I got right to N for no . Asks me what drive and then what do I want to Do . R, W, or E. So I hit W for write. Says Unknown Flash Chip and goes back to C:/> _ <-- Flashing underscore . lol . So I flashed the first time with the same Sata ports . No problem . Flawless. I have a INTEL ICH9. On board sata . Any recommendations ? I tried Dosflash CMD in iprep and still got nowhere. I tried the MTKflash in iprep nothing. JungleFlasher cant install the PortIO because im on 64 bit windows. Sorry for the long post but Im not sure what else do to. If anyone has any info or can just point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks. By the way . Awesome Site !!

iprep wont run/run correctly on a 64bit OS...try to do it from a 32bit OS...even though iprep runs in dos, u need iprep in 32bit OS to build the flash and load...

to install and use iprep to build your boot usb...it needs to be installed on s 32bit OS. 64bit will not work... try a 32bit OS XP or Vista on a spare HDD or something.
