I cannot seem to find the answer on the forums
Are all 360 drives spoofable with all 360 drives, or are there limitations
so are the BenQ, Hitachi, Liteon, Samsung Drives all spoofable just by creating the hacked firmware with the Key ?
Thanking you in advance - my appologies if this was answered somewhere else and i have missed it
Spoofing Drives
Re: Spoofing Drives
as long as it is done right
yes any dvd drive can go into any console
but
this is not a beginner thing
it takes time
and
a understanding of the dump and flash
of both dvd drive you are working with
then getting your orig key in and spoofing the hacked firmware you are going to use.

Re: Spoofing Drives
Many thanks for the prompt reply
The reason I ask is that I am purchasing a spare samsung m28 drive so that i can check the keys work before i flash somebodies console to make sure the key is correct. would i just use jf to spoof?

Re: Spoofing Drives
Yes. You can use Jungleflasher to do the spoofing. You would load your firmware for the drive of your "customer" as the source, then load the ixtreme firmware for your samsung as the target, hit spoof source to target. It will automatically spoof the ixtreme firmware to where it reports as the drive that your working with. Then you can put it in that console and test it out. If it works, then just load the original firmware as the source, load the ixtreme firmware for that drive, spoof source to target, save it, flash it, done.

Re: Spoofing Drives
Dont really mean to hijack this thread, but would it be possible to spoof a different drive into the console? Say there was some super quiet super good drive out there for computers (that could read HD-DVD's or w.e xbox games are on...) could you spoof the FW into it, and use it?
