Re: Recognize Benq?
Well, I set up my a drive w/ iprep. That went smoothly with no errors.
However, It did the exact same thing. It just sat there at 7F. I am using the power from the 360 to power the drive but it ejects so i'm guessing its not the power supply. Even though everything checks out in Windows with the card working but it doesnt want to read this drive. I'm wondering if its a bum card maybe? I dont know what else to do..

Re: Recognize Benq?
I have the exact same card. Could it be a driver issue? I have the most up to date driver. Is there a way to test if the card is good? Is there anything else I can do?
Re: Recognize Benq?
if you hace a sata drive cd/dvd or hard drive you can put that on it and see if it works.
Re: Recognize Benq?
I dont have any drives that are SATA except for my hard drive that boots the cpu. My motherboard has an nvidia nforce3 250 sata controller. I thought i read somewhere that type would work to flash the drive. Do you think it would work with iprep?
Re: Recognize Benq?
you can bang your head trying to get the onboard sata to work.i would tell you to get this.

Re: Recognize Benq?
I have that exact same card as the one in that link.
So i tried to do it with my onboard and I got it to read/flash just like your video.
I put in my backup of assasins creed and it said I needed an update to play the game. so I took the update and now it reads its an unplayable disk. I can play my originals, but I only have 2 backups and neither works. Did I have it flashed to 1.4 and by taking the update screw it up? Was I not supposed to take the update?

Re: Recognize Benq?
no the update should not have hurt anything.
go into how you do your backups.

Re: Recognize Benq?
Kreon and I use Xbox creator 2.7 to dump it (2.4x) and imgburn to burn (2.0x).
One thing I did notice, it went really fast at the read/write part. As soon as I turn on the drive to read, it read all 4 banks in less than a second so I didnt have a chance to turn the drive off, it was already done. Should I try to reflash the drive?

Re: Recognize Benq?
I managed to get my 6421a pci card to work. It was a bad sata cable.
I did everything identical to the video. Everything went perfectly. But when I put in the back ups they come up with 'unplayable disc'. I can play all of my originals no problem.
Now when i took the update when it told me i needed it for assasins creed, i downloaded it. But i unplugged the internet before the 360 had a chance to reboot. Could that have screwed it up?

Re: Recognize Benq?
if your 360 will play orig games then i would say the flash went fine
now you just need to get the backup going.
try a different game(backup) see if you can get any backup to play.

Re: Recognize Benq?
I've tried 4 different backups and none of them work. Is it possible that it didnt take the hacked firmware? If it goes through all of the steps it should have flashed right?
The only think I think of is that the backup of assasins creed, it knew it needed an update to play the disk and once I updated it reads 'unreadable disc' where the other ones read 'unplayable disk'

Re: Recognize Benq?
well you could reflash it with v1.4 that would make sure its flashed
if you saw it do like on the video then its flash and there is something wrong with your backups.

Re: Recognize Benq?
You were 100% right. I finally got it to work! In imgburn, i wasnt putting the 1913760 in, i had never had to do that before. I changed that and it worked perfectly!
Thanks cofree for all of your patience. Without your help and your tutorials i wouldn't have been able to do it. Happy Holidays to you and your family. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
