Re: Flashing Hit 0079FL with iXtreme 1.51

You need to download the JF drive pack add-on to flash a Hitachi without restoring the original firmware. If you don't feel like downloading the drive pack then restore the original firmware. After you've verified a good key with the OFW you then can flash the new iXtreme 1.51 to you drive as normal. Cool?

I'm in almost the exact same situation. I'm a flash virgin and have a Hit79. I am assuming I can place the drive into mode B without the connectivity kit using JF 0.1.51 but would like someone in the forum to just validate my thinking or point me in the right direction. I am planning on just booting the xbox and instead of power cycling the device when it asks to turn the kit off just selecting OK.

Judging from some of the tut's (thanks sadalius), again I am going to assume that you place all bin's in the directory and JF is smart enough to determine which one to pull. If that's incorrect, someone please let me know before I brick my cherry.

Thanks in advance.
