Nearly all new motherboards can boot from USB. As long as yours is semi new you can bet it will boot from USB. Please take a pic of your Bios we will see what we can do.

Even most older boards will boot from a flash drive, it just has to be set just right, some USB's must be set into legacy before they are "turned on" by the BIOS. You may just need to update your BIOS. Depending on the manufacturer of your board, it could be as simple as that. Also you might want to try and figure out which key you need to press to bring up the boot menu. For most nForce boards it's F11. Some others include delete, F12. Just mess with it until you and post all you need to we'll be here to help.

Try using the 360 modification disk. A new version was just released a little bit ago. Every computer I know of this day and time will boot from a CD, so that might be worth a shot for you.

i used my JF and got all the dummy bin. and i used Iprep to create the flash drive and create a folder called 1234567 and inside that folder i create another 12345 folder then put litCFW.bin into it. and if i use mod disc, i don't have to get the litCFW right? because my Connectitivety kit doesn't have I/O serial Port only have USB PORT....

BTW if i unstalled all the VIA drive for using JF, then i use Iprep to flash do i have to install back my drive???or i just use portI/O 32 is ok?

Well, you wouldn't be able to use the 360 modification disk with the firmware you've already created because it goes through the process of getting those files and creating the hacked firmware. Yeah, your pretty much going to be stuck with trying to get iprep going if you don't have a floppy drive.

If you'vé a floppy drive, then you could create a DOS boot disk and get the ixtreme 1.5 firmware pack and extract that, copy the DOS folder to the floppy and put your hacked firmware in the DOS folder on the floppy. Boot to the floppy, type in CD DOS and hit enter. Then follow the video in the tutorial section on recovering a lite-on after jungleflasher freezes. You'll have to know the port number that the drive is connected to on the sata port though so you'll be able to run the l-o-eras command successfully.

If you use iprep to build a floppy boot disk, it will make the disk, but when iprep goes to dump the key and such, then build the hacked firmware, you'll experience and insufficient disk space error.

I understand that, what I'm telling you is there won't be enough disk space after iprep prepares the floppy to store the hacked firmware. Thats why I suggested using dosflash.

Booting from a floppy is a much slower process isnt it? (Not booting, but loading dos flash, and flashing?)
