When you start the iprep program just select the A: drive and it formats it and puts the files on it (like it did with the usb. I think you may need to delete somethings off it to make space for the dump. It takes quite a bit of time for it to dump to the floppy as opposed to the usb.

Edit: you could also try googling "360 Modification Disc v1.52" and giving it a go. It works similar to iprep but from a disc. (i've never used it so you might have to get feedback from some of the guys)
cheers again 1 of m8s tryed the mod disk he bricked his drive so i think ill give it a miss , have u any idea what i have to del b4 i dump to floppy

I could be thinking of the older iprep, you might be ok with the new iprep as you can just load the 1 firmware which is specific for your drive in (ie liteon or benq as the older one had to have them all loaded in) Someone will confirm this though.

Check that you haven't got the floppy cable inserted the wrong way around mate. Some floppy leads don't have the small raised notch on them to ensure correct insertion (there should be a red indicator stripe on the lead which should be facing away from you (the ide leads have the red stripe nearest to you) You can normally tell if you have it wrong because the green light will be on constantly. Also if it's a lead with double plugs on try the other one.
