Hitachi and posible bad flash
Re: Hitachi and posible bad flash
How come if I spoofed the drive as a benq it didnt work on my system.
Re: Hitachi and posible bad flash
if you are talking about putting that hit dvd drive in a benq console
you have to flash the key for the benq console
flash the hit firmware that has been spoofed
then it should work in the benq console
as long as that drive is flashing good
it may not be

Re: Hitachi and posible bad flash
Here is what I did.
I took the Hit drive and opened the orig.bin and changed the key to my benq's key. Saved the key and went to tools>direct drive flash>Differential flash patch and completed it like that. Then I flashed it like a Benq. Was this the correct way to do it?

Re: Hitachi and posible bad flash
wow
man
what drive are you wanting to put in what console
it looks like now you are trying to put a benq in a hit console
what did the console have to start with and what is the dvd drive you are wanting to put in.

Re: Hitachi and posible bad flash
I am trying to figure out what the problem is. The Hit console is my buddys and the benq is mine. Since I sold my last drive I am using my benq drive to see if I can make it work. If indeed the drive has a bad key and I tell him to spend 50 bucks on a drive just to find out I cant do anything about it would suck. I tried to take his drive and put it in my 360 and it does not work. I also tried to put my drive in his console and it didnt work either.
Re: Hitachi and posible bad flash
putting the benq in the hit console
would be the quickest way to test the key
put the key in the benq firmware with jungle flasher and
then spoof to target
save the file
rename it and flash it in the benq with iprep
if it will play dvd movies and not games orig or backup
then that is not the right key for that console
and its game over

Re: Hitachi and posible bad flash
Yeah I created the bootable USB and read the firmware from the Benq drive. Booted into windows and opened the orig.bin in JF and added the Hit key to the benq firm and spoofed it. Then added the spoofed orig.bin file back to the USB and flashed with Samtool.
Does this sound right?

Re: Hitachi and posible bad flash
yea
sounds good
but if you did that on the benofw.bin
then it will only read orig game not backups
you would have had to do the same steps on the bencfw, bin
for it to read both orig and backup games.
