Re: Hard Drive
Xbox 360's are currently limited to those three sizes, 20, 60 or 120GB. At least until such a time as MS releases a larger one.

Re: Hard Drive
well
that HD work if you are going to have a modded HD
that HD will not just plug and play
just a fyi for you
for a plug and play you have to get a xbox 360 HD of one size or another.

Re: Hard Drive
Sadalius probably knows the most on here about swapping hdds and such. But I took my hdd out of it's shell, then hooked it up via on board sata and created a boot disk and placed a folder on there with hddhackr.0.9.1. It's on xbins. I also found a great Windows tool that will extract the hddss.bin from your hdd. Click here. for that program. It will allow to click anywhere on the drive extract the firmware from the drive. Very cool. Also I went ahead and made a small mod to my 360's hdd. I renamed it. So instead of "Hard Drive" being the label when it ask you to save something it now says "Mike's Drive"!!!

Re: Hard Drive
Thanks for the replies guys, i think i will look for a 60GB when i have the money lol
I only play a few games at a time so i would not need 120GB of space for a few games. I already have a Seagate 20GB hard drive so im guessing a 60GB seagate hard drive will also work along with western digital.

Re: Hard Drive
If your talking about a modded drive, the only ones that will work is the Western Digital Scorpio BEVS series drives. This is a limitation set by the author of the hddhackr software.

Re: Hard Drive
Ohh thanks for correcting me sadalius, so when i buy a hard drive (eventually lol) i MUST get a Western Digital Scorpio Bevs one because the hddhacker only accepts these drive models. Correct?

Re: Hard Drive
Correct. You can get as large of one as you want, just keep in mind that it's really pointless to get anything larger than 120GB because thats all you'll get out of it at the most. For example, if you purchase a 500GB WD BEVS and flash it with a 20GB HDDSS.BIN, then all you'll have is a 20GB drive for the xbox. Same as if you flash a 60GB or a 120GB HDDSS.BIN. What ever you flash it with is what you have when it's flashed and attached to your 360.
