Lite-on erase!! Need Help!!!

Post by 360fifa »

I got a Lite-on drive today to mod, hooked it up and got the key, identify and inquiry.bin files. I got to the part where i erased the lite-on fw. When asked to go into vendor mode and restart console the console took some time to turn off then on. The problem that i'm having now is that the console won't open the dvd drive when you hit the eject button.

Thx

for sure bro. The only way to brick a liteon is to plug the power cord in upside down.

It will not eject as there is no firmware on the drive at the moment , are you flashing in windows or dos?

Han Cholo wrote: So anyway it's pretty basic...
You hook up your drive, power it on.
Open Jungleflasher.
Go to firmware tool 32 tab
Load your dummy into your Source firmware
Let Jungleflasher autoload iXtreme into your target firmware
Go to the MTK Flash 32 tab.
Select your I/O port. It won't detect your drive.
Click Intro/Device ID it will detect a flash chip
Follow the prompt to power your drive off and on
Then in drive properties it should read "Drive in vendor mode"
Click Write
and that's it.
What i dnt really understand here is having JungleFlasher autoload IXtreme into target firmware. Meaning in target firmware i should load the Lite_CFW.bin file or ???? What i also noticed is that when i hit load f/w image it doesn't load the dummy.bin file and if i try to use the load from dump files it doesn't accept my key.bin, identify.bin and inquiry.bin files. I'm using windows vista could that be the prob? I originally used a XP OS to dump the key and f/w.

I`m not too sure could be a vista thing , as i have read a few posts with people having problems with J/F & vista , i myself use xp and have had little to no problems.

o u know which firmware i'm to use in the target firmware option? and when i try to run Device ID hit yes and turn off game and then on it returns with status invalid. Do u think maybe its because after shutting down the console takes some time to boot back up?

I just let it auto load the ixtreme 1.51(have you got all the firmwares in the firmware folder in J/F?).I use a connectivity kit and sometimes when it tells you to switch on and off , i have to pull the dvd power cable out then straight back in to get it into 072 state, not sure if you want to try this way.

I'm trying to use cofree's method with iprep but its not allowing me to make the flash drive bootable, where can i find the info to set up iprep 101 I think i might not configure it properly upon installation, thats what i'm using also the f/w that i'm loading is Samsung.Ixtreme1.4. Is that the correct f/w to load?

You need to load the Dummy file into your source firmware
Then Jungleflasher will ask you if you want to autoload ixtreme 1.51 into the target.
Click yes, it will load the hacked firmware and spoof the key into it.
Then you go to the MTK flash 32 tab
Make sure you have the correct I/O port selected.
It won't detect your drive, but it's always the same. So use whatever port it was on when you bricked your drive.
Then you hit intro/Device ID
and follow the prompt. You will need to turn your drive off and on within a second or two.
It should go to vendor mode,
afterwards you click write and that's it.
