Re: AAAARGH HELP
Hi there,
I done it for the first time about 5 weeks ago, then the 1.51 was released about 1 week later, Rather than just wait coz id only just done 1.5 I cudnt resist, Anyway I had similar prob to you but only I was using iprep. The thing I was doing wrong was preparing the flash stick with 1.51 while I still had the 1.5 FW on it, I just thought when you choose in iprep to format and make bootable it does actually format, But it does not format at all.
If I where you id use iprep 8.8 which can be found on here, Get your FW from xbins, Get urself a flash drive, I got a 1 gig one for £2.99 I think, The sata cable was a £1. Format the stick using windows and then open iprep and prep the stick, Tick both boxes, Choose your IDE port and load ur FW, Prepare and you shud be good to go. The first time I done it, it was very easy and what I did I watched cofree`s new vid on Flashing benq with iprep 8.8, Write down everything he says in that vid ( Great vid ) and give it a crack. Just make sure after youve read the FW from your 360 drive, Shut down the PC, connect drives back up on PC and log back into windows and save the whole backup folder in the stick, Email it to ur friends/family or something. After you done that connect ur 360 back up to the sata port and away you go, You just need to choose write now, Everything shud be good from here.
P.S Its highly recommended that you watch cofree`s video tut.
Good Luck !

Re: AAAARGH HELP
Go Here download auto-xbins. (it's down for the weekend but it's good to have). And download Jungle Flasher 1.55b. Or you you can use the same link to download Jungle flasher as well. But you'll need iXtreme 1.5.1 or some custom firmware of your choosing. Follow these directions:
1. First connect your drive however you connected it while using dos flash whether you're using a connectivity kit or your 360. CK3 would be preferred but not required.
2 Ensure that your pc is powered down.
3. Power on your drive, then boot to Windows.
4. Open Jungle Flasher, select the DVDkey tab and verify that your drive is connected and being seen. (Note: you should be using a VIA 6421A or L sata card.)
5. Select the MTK Flash tab, the again verify that you're drive is selected on the left hand side. And press the BenQ unlock button. You may need to set your drive halfway in/out. I've done it without moving the dvd tray.
6. Once you're in vendor mode, click the Read button. Jungle Flasher should start dumping your BenQ's OFW (Original Firmware).
7. If so far so good, Jungle flasher will ask "Do you want to auto-load Benq iXtreme 1.5.1?". If you've already put the benq cfw in the Jungle flasher firmware directory click yes, if not click no.
8. (Skip to number 11 if you clicked yes) - If you clicked no, go the the FirmwareTool32 tab you should see your ofw and key listed in the top of JF.
9. Now select "Open Target Firmware" and locate your Benq custom Firmware.
10. "Spoof Source to Target" Should now be an active button. Click it.
11. Now that you're key has been spoofed to the cfw, Click MTKFlash tab again and click write.
12. Once JF has finished it should say write verified ok! And you're done.
If this doesn't work for you let me know I will help as much as I can.

Re: AAAARGH HELP
The reason iprep I presume isnt loading as I had this problem too for ages, The guys on here helped me. It was because you have to reinstall Net Framework, either 2.0 or 3.5 it dont matter but uninstall this and then reinstall and you shud find iprep will load, Then your FW shud load aswell coz Net framework was the culprit for this too. Unless you havnt got the new iprep xml definitions file what you need to copy into the iprep directory, Its the new update for iprep so if you dont have this iprep wont recognise the FW 1.51.
But yeah try uninstalling net framework and reinstalling and then see how that goes, Coz im pretty confident its this mate.
Good Luck !
