Is it possible to use my flashed benq drive in a lite-on 360
As the title asks, I'm curious if there's a way to get my flashed benq drive to work in another 360. My benq 360 recently red ringed, and I have a spare lite-on laying around that I use for media streaming in the bedroom. Rather then flash the lite-on, which I can't quite seem to figure out, I was curious if there was a way to make the benq drive work in the other 360, or if it has to have the specific drive it shipped with? Thanks very much for any and all assistance.

The only way to get it to work is to extract the key from the lite-on and inject it into the benq...and if you did that, you might as well flash the lite-on. The key to each individual mobo is located on the dvd drive.

Exactly, if you can get the four .bin files from the lite-on which is the most complicated part, you might as well flash your lite-on. That being said if you really want to put your benq drive in the 360 then yes you can. But you will still need at least the key.bin from the lite-on system. If you need specific instructions check out this linkl for more info.Shootsteel wrote:The only way to get it to work is to extract the key from the lite-on and inject it into the benq...and if you did that, you might as well flash the lite-on. Everything's been covered already, but if you want guides, check here:
(Personally I dont find drive noise to be a big deal, I never hear it, but lots of people complain about the noise.)
Also, keep in mind the BenQ is louder than the Lite-On.Backslash wrote:Flashing

Use Firmware Toolbox or JungleFlasher to spoof.
