Spoof a Samsung into a Hitachi console

Post by seeknstrike »

alright so I give up on my 79 drive. Iv tried fwt and JF.

Somehow, I got a good dump using JF. Saved my key. Then went to flash, cash like normal. Then i re dumped over my good dump( like a dummy) and it crashed which made my dump bad.

But i still have the key.

When i spoof, All i need is the key? not the dump file ?

Thanks

It can be done with the Key from your Hitachi and GOOD dump files from your sammy. Look in the tuts under 360 flashing for spoofing Saldious has done a good one for you.

As far as I know you do not need to go 1.4 then to 1.51.

Your original FW will only be 1 .bin file. The only firmware that is more than 1 bin is FW for Lite-On's that is because you cannot directly dump the firmware...

Yes your key was all 7's because it was a new drive and has not been paired with an xbox yet.

you will have to dump the key from your samsung drive
use jungle flasher to put your samsung key in the hit firmware
then i would use jungle to flash your hit with the spoofed firmware.

sorry if im reading you post wrong.
The Hit is the old drive, the samsung is the new drive which has no key.

I followed your guide. Dumped the hit an sam, Spoofed the sam with the key. named it ORIG.BIN Now im lost.

shit my bad

well do this once you have the hacked spoofed firmware

build a iprep flash with iprep v8.8
in the backup folder make 2 folders the 1st name 1234567 then in that folder put the 2nd folder name it 12345
then in the 2nd folder put a copy of your orig firmware or a copy of a cfw(hacked firmware)
this firmware must have a good key from your console.

rename the file "samcfw.bin"

then boot on the flash and run the fsam 1234567 12345 command
it will flash in that firmware.

make sure you have the right firmware

Edit: All iv done so far was Swap the key. and spoofed it.

I did not do this step snice i dont wanna flash with 1.4

The next step is to create your hacked firmware. First, rename the samsung/benq firmware that we just re-keyed and spoofed to orig.bin. Next, extract the firmware that you got from xbins. Inside the extracted contents, you should find a 2, 5, 8 and 12x folder, for the Benq, you'll also find a non-stealth folder, don't use this one unless you know what your doing. copy your samsung or benq orig.bin into the folder that you would like your drive's speed to run at. 12x is stock speed, 2x is slowest, we don't recommend anything below 8x. Open that folder and you should have your orig.bin along with several other files, one of which should be Make iXtreme firmware.

Alright so i dont have to do this part?Image

Im not quite sure what tutorial your following, but this may help you find your place in the tutorial:

Spoofing steps:

Dump the Firmware from the original drive (would have been your Hitachi drive)
Make sure you have a valid key in your Hitachi firmware (Its valid if its not all repeating letters/numbers)
Download iXtreme 1.51 for Samsung
Open Jungle Flasher
Load your original Hitachi firmware as "Source"
Open your iXtreme 1.51 for Samsung as Target
Click "Spoof Source To Target"
Click "Save to File"
Save it as "Samsung Spoofed as Hitachi" (Or something like that...)

Now what you have done is taken all the identification information from the hitachi firmware and put it in the samsung firmware. So your samsung runs the normal ixtreme firmware, but its identity appears to be the that of the Hitachi.

Now with that bin you just saved, you can use whatever program you would like, and flash that.

If you use iPrep, put it in the 1234567\12345\ folder.
If you use Jungle Flasher (If you dont close it after spoofing) you can just go to the MTK tab and flash. (If you have closed since spoofing the firmwares, then just open your hitachi FW as source, and your 'Samsung Spoofed as Hitachi' as target)

alright cool, i think i got it,

Save it as "Samsung Spoofed as Hitachi" (Or something like that...)

If i want to use iprep I would name Your expl "Samsung Spoofed as Hitachi" to Samcfw.bin right? put it in the backup 1234567 12345. and load it.

And under the source frimwares tab in the iprep menu, I just load Samsung_iXtreme_v1.51-FINAL that has not been messed with right?
