Looping status on Benq

Post by pluto_00 »

Hello

First try i did with Iprep + floppy
When i resend the command the drive goes tho the point where the status toggles between 0x51 and 0xD1
I turn the drive off it stays at 0xD1
I turn back on It freezes at 0x80 if i turn off again it starts toggeling again between 0x51 and 0xD1

second try with the eXOBeX Benq Batch Files

Maked the changes to the benread files changed the port in A000 thats the one i need
But same result as above

I tryed with dosflash 16 v1.3 manualy
the command
dosflash R A000 1 A0 1 4 orig.bin 0

But again when i have to shut down and put back the power it goes wrong...

Does anyone have more ideas what 2 try?

Thnx !

I had the exact same problem with an Intel chipset. Worked fine with hitachi, not for Benq though....

Go for the card everybody gets (I use an old 8237 internal via)

Hitachi is an entirely different animal. You can flash a hitachi without even having a sata chipset. I used a usb to sata converter to do the Hitachi, but I had to get a sata card to do the samsung.

I have re-installed my windows xp sp2 But no help.

Status still flashing with D1 if i put power back on it goes to 0x80 again then repeats flashing the 0xD1

I orderd the Via VT 6421 L sata card

So it's waiting till it arrives now.

I would wait for the card as well....

Got to the exact same point (with the same chipset) , tried it for about 4 hours. Hardware is the problem here, not drivers or settings. VIA seems to be the only compatible chipset (though I have heard of some nforce chipsets working) with Benq drives.
