if your 360 is still under warrenty i recommend just sending it out to microsoft. if not then try this  possible rrod fix

this is what we have on the site, but you can search youtube and find a number of methods to tackle this. . .

Ebay sell loads of kits (basically nuts and washers) but be aware that its just a temporary fix, may last a month or could last a year. Even though it may show as being out of standard warranty its worth checking with microsoft to see if its covered by the 3 year rrod fault ( just sent one of my mates samsung ones off for him which was out of 1 year warranty and received a Liteon replacement. ta Bill ) unless you already have then ignore that advice. :D :D

LoL I got the RROD on first 360 after 3 month, I wernt patient enough to wait for MS so I buy a pre owned one and stuck the broken one in the cuboard, Some 6 month later I read on the internet about most of the time the RROD isnt in fact RROD and just possibly the AV cable in the back of the console wernt inserted right in, So I gets the " Broken " 360 out the cuboard and I couldnt believe it, Honestly it was the dam AV lead not pushed right in. LoL To ttest this if you pull out the lead while 360 is on you will get the lights, RROD lights in fact, Not sure how many quadrants are lit but it certainly makes you think you have the RROD especially when its your first experience with it.

Maybee you could try this as its what was wrong with mine, Its a common mistake when you get the RROD, Check the AV lead is pushed right in. and anyone reading this who think they have the RROD and still have it stored away somewhere, its maybee worth a try, You may be lucky !
