Lucky me
My "champion" of an xbox has finally met it's match. It's flashed x-clamped, 12v fan mod, spoofed drive, and extra fans have done it no good...it has the e74 error. It's been on and off the past few days but I hoped nothing of it cause it was easily fixed by removing the hard drive..but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm away from allthe people who can help me in person, so anyone have any advice on how I might fix this on my own? I have no money right now so I can't afford a new box..yet..
Thanks....hopefully
Thanks....hopefully

Re: Lucky me
your only hope is to do the xclamp repair again/reapply the thermal grease and heat carefully that Chip that says XBOX 360 at the rear left corner....might work for a time.
Hope this helps.

Re: Lucky me
well being that turd was a regular at the game room.
i am all to familiar with his console.
he forgot to say it was running on a wireless because the internet port was burned up.
The fan plug shorted out and he had to do the 12v just to get air flow.
This box should be in the "hall of fame"
man have a read over this
viewtopic.php?f=101&t=5051" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
the error 74 is starting to be a big problem for M$
man pm me all your info
address and stuff
I will send you a care package( ) and return shipping for your console to be sent to me
You will not mess with this one.GOT THAT

Re: Lucky me
oh no! I just remembered that the sync button is broken on my controller! Anyone know another way to sync? Without that I can't connect to the new box..I have a wired controller, but it has a bunch of feedback when I put in a headset..

Re: Lucky me
If the button itself is broken, you can open the controller, and press the switch on the board. Thats what I had to do with one of mine.aTurgidKnave wrote:oh no! Re: Lucky me
or if you get one of those quick charge kits, the controller syncs up automatically when you plug it in and then you can unplug it
