burning a game on regular dvd+r

Post by daqid »

i was wondering if this would work?

when you install a game on the hard drive do it copy everything on the disk to a folder or something? well if yall know how that works, if one was to have an external hard drive would it be possible to just rip the whole game to a folder or if you already have a ready burn image just extract it to a folder the same way it is when its installing it and use the image burner to burn the image on a regular dvd+r even though it will never fit (i forgot what program lets you continue with the burning anyway) and then just play from the hard drive, i dout it reads and confirms the whole disk before it determines if its the right one.

just a theroy i had and can't find any verbatim dl in store around here and too anchious to buy some online and wait. the memorex and tdk dls don't work very well.

The problem is we don't know if the 360 looks for a specific sector or not on the disc to determine if it's a good game or not. We've been talking about trying to find a way to make a single disc with the pertinent info from multiple games so you could use one disc to play several games pre-installed on the hard drive. Good in theory but is kind of a pain in practice.

BTW this is the best site to buy Verbs from. All of them made in singapore.

The thing about buying them from newegg is you may not get the singapore ones. The disc from India have been known to have a much lower standard of quality. That's why I suggested the site. They only sell the disc from Singapore.

I bought a bundle of 50 Verbatims from Sam's Club for $60. They were however made in India. They say there is a 98% success rate for them. Which means 1 out of a 50 stack will go bad. I ruined a few myself but only because of my own dumb*ss not using abgx 360 first.
