Xbox 360 Died, should I get an arcade

Post by dontjee »

Hi everyone,
My Xbox 360 Premium just died, the video had a greenish tint and now there is no video at all. I tried the towel trick, and it worked for maybe 3 hours and then the video went out again. So I think I need to buy a new xbox.

My question is can I just buy an arcade system instead of the premium and just put the hard drive from the system that died into the new system? Also I want to be able to mod my new system, I assume it is the same on an arcade as on a premium system. How you do it just depends on the drive. Is that correct?

Also, I had a Benq that I modded in my old xbox no problem, are there any new drives that are unmoddable that I have to worry about? Or can I just take out my modded Benq from the old xbox and put it in the new one?

that is what i would do.
but
you may need to do this if you have any "DLC" and you want to play with it NOT connected to live.

well you can try the xclamp fix and heat gun.
but that fix may only give you a month or so.If it will work for you.

that is right.

no
you can flash all drives.

no you can not
you will want to keep that benq just so you have a spare
but the key for you console dvd drive would have to be put in the that old benq drive (and spoofed if the console came with a different kind of drive than benq.
