flashing a lite-on drive
ok guys im new to this and I have watched all the vids on you-tube. im trying to flash my lite-on and im using the jf 1.5 and i cant get my drive to flash at half open power. what I have been doing is i power on the drive using the xbox and then i open the drive and power off drive.. closew it half way and then power it up. start jf and i went to the dvdkey32 tab and it list my drive. i hit dummy from iextreme and it gives me a the error power drive half way and I did that... arrrgg so what am i doding wrong? help please.

Sorry man, but you can't use the 360 to power your drive on a lite-on, you must have some type of connectivity kit with either a serial port or usb port. Unfortunately the way that the lite-on was designed it will not dump the firmware through the sata port. Check out this for a good online retailer and this, for some better videos on flashing the lite-on.

Just had a look at their site lee and they offer a ck3 replacement service if you've fried it which may come in handy if you make a mistake and don't have the newer version with pptc protection:

yeah they do all they charge you is post & packing whats £7 to replace something!! have you seen the deals on the systems that they have?

Thank you DC for the heads up on that one, I got a couple knocking around here well they are actually pasted on the "wall of shame" I might peal them off and post it out.Just had a look at their site lee and they offer a ck3 replacement service if you've fried it which may come in handy if you make a mistake
