Can't get jungleflasher to detect liteon drive

Post by petrieslastword »

I've been attempting to flash my liteon drive with the ck3 and probe, using various tutorials. I'm currently using this one:

http://www.ixtreme.net/xbox-360-tutoria ... e-t25.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And finding myself stuck at the part where it says:
Now, click on the Tab DVDKey 32. You need to select the correct I/O Port and Com Port. The I/O port as you scroll through them, will show the Vendor as PLDS, and Name as DG-16D2S when you select the correct port. With the Com Port, typically, if you only have 1 serial port, it’s going to be COM1.
For some reason I cannot for the life of me get my it to read my drive as being connected. I've tried different ports, and everything else I can think of, but have no idea what I could be doing wrong. Has anyone dealt with this and have a clue where I could start troubleshooting?

Chances are you don’t have a compatible SATA chipset that’s why you cannot detect the drive, make sure you also have the 360 drives installed also

If it still doesn’t work I suggest you buy a VIA VT6421 they are around £10

Riax is right, for the lite-ons you need an compatible Sata chipset. We recommend the Via 6421A or L models. All of us on the staff here have this card in one pc or another. Here's a tutorial for flashing your lite-on with Jungle Flasher. And heres the iPrep version. If you have a serial cable for your CK3 then use iPrep for your flashing. Klutsh has step by step instructions built into iPrep so it'll make things much easier on you.
