Hideki Komiyama, president of Sony Ericsson, has said he would be interested in tapping Sony’s strength in the gaming market.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Komiyama said that the company had failed to keep up with technological developments in the mobile business.
Specifically, Ericsson has so far failed to develop a smartphone capable of competing with Apple's iPhone.
With Ericsson having previously integrated the Walkman and Cybershot brands into its phones, Komiyama said a move to create a PlayStation mobile "could happen."
"If we do not adapt to this new technology or new market environment, we're going to lose," he said.
