This console has 1.5 on it....we are ready to go to 1.6.....you would have to flash it to 1.51 to play new games anyways...almost always eBay sells post RROD machines, you know "fixed" I advise strongly against this purchase...your dough though....If you do get it, please post back in two months with the results good or bad. Your WAY better off with a new console.....after all the console is the cheap part of this setup how much is four new games? Well over the price of a new console. Good luck with whichever way you choose to go. :D

Hi qkyqky,I havr just read your post and wanted to ask if you've considered a pre-owned console.I have just recently (1 week ago)had to buy a new console after my old one died(bought it on launch day and its finally given up the ghost after numerous fixes) and went to my local Gamestation where I bought a pre-owned 360,with w/less controller and 2 games for £109.The date on the back of the console told me it was only 8 months old so came with the hdmi slot in the back.I got a full warranty(worthless if you get it flashed I know) and am happily back gaming for less than a new console. For the record,I dont work for Gamestation, but have mentioned these because my local Game, and Blockbuster were sold out of p/owned machines.Something to think about maybe?

ok so ur saying that i should buy a preowned one instead ? i know they sell em at gamestation and game for a cheap price but i just thought why not buy it off ebay instead since they both used. If i buy it from game or any other store where they sell preowned , do u think chance of RROD and the overall quality will be better of console ?

I say buy a new one. There's nothing like having one right off the shelves. Not to mention if your careful flashing it you can preserve the warranty stickers so no one ever has to know.

If you want to buy a used console, its always better to buy from a store like game station game stop eb games etc...

Ebay is not a good thing to buy a used console.

1) Shipping times, why wait a week or longer when you can buy in a store?
2) Shipping price, An xbox and a power brick is heavy, thus increasing shipping costs.
3) Quality, Most boxes on ebay are RROD refurbished. So they will break down soon enough.

Its always better to buy a brand new console, but if money is an issue, and you would rather save 50-80 bucks, buy a used console.

if your aiming towards a used one get it from a gamestop or gamestation whatever you have out there cause if anything is wrong with it at least you can take it back im sure they give some kind of guaranty, if you get it off ebay and somethings wrong with it youll be stuck with it...when you go to flash it just blow dry all the warranty stickers off and peel them off carefully incase you end having to take it back

I am with Technoe,
If you buy it second hand from the gamestop the warranty stickers are much much harder to circumvent and save for warranty purposes. That's all I am saying..... your dough. :D....factory is much easier.
