MS28 to Benq
I have a friend that has a ms28 in his xbox 360 and the drive went bad, i have the key and everything(for the MS28) and i was wondering if there was a way to change out his ms28 to a benq drive. Someone please help as soon as you can, thank you
Re: MS28 to Benq
Yeah, that's pretty simple. You should use Jungleflasher for that.
Since you already have the original firmware all you need to do is
Plug in your benQ do the half open trick, power it on
Open up jungleflasher
go to the firmware 32 tool tab,
Load your Samsung firmware into the source
then load up your hacked BenQ firmware into the target then click
Spoof source to target
click MTK flash 32 tab
Click Intro/ Device ID follow the prompt to put the drive into vendor mode
then click write.
Click Outro/ ATA reset
that's it.
But you may want to wait a day or two, until iXtreme 1.6 comes out. Should be available in the next day or two hopefully.

Re: MS28 to Benq
as long as you dont have a via chipset
then jungle should work fine
if you have a via 6421a or l pci sata card
then i would use a combination of the 2 programs.
use jungle flasher to build your hacked / spoofed firmware
and save it
but that would be all
to flash it in the benq i would use iprep
after you have your hack/spoofed firmware
do this
make a iprep boot flash
in the backup folder make a folder named 1234567
then in that folder make a folder named 12345
in there put the hacked/spoofed firmware that you renamed to ' bencfw.bin "
with out the " " of course
then just flash it in like normal
by just running the fben 1234567 12345

Re: MS28 to Benq
I tried both ways that both of you said and both work really well, just for something to do on my free time.(lol) But just so that everyone one the site knows that both way worked for a ms28 to a benq and a lite-on to benq.....
