Need help. benq not showing up in XBCr

Just flashed my drive with the new 1.6 fw. It flashed fine. I'm not able to see it in XBCr. I've been trying various things. "New Hardware" didnt find the drive. It shows up in both JF and Prep. Any help will do.

I have all the essentials, DL burner, right sata, etc.

I'm lost.

No i got confused as i was looking at another thread. its just to disable the stealth checks. whooops

I've tryed all my ports on the via card. still no luck.

The drive should show up in Windows when powered on with a half open tray to intitate 0800 mode. close the tray and drive detection in windows should now be visible. Have you done this? if so maybe try another sata lead.

Hell ya. It worked. Thanks alot dale. Any work around xbox powering off after lil bit. im powering the drive the xbox.

It shouldn't be doing that. Does it power off even with a game inserted?

Not sure. Does having the AV cable matter? About to try first backup. COD4 World at War is 4TB is that normal?

No that would be 4000 gb..lolz. it should be about 7 and a half gig. Won't hurt to try dumping it though. I don't use xbc i tend to use schtrom so it might just need an update or something. Give it a go though and check the iso size at the end.

Seems there are a few people saying xbc reports as 4 tb. The solutions include different via drivers (most recommend the 5.3c if you're using the via card), updating bios, switching to schtrom.

The 4tb error is some type of glitch just close XBC and restart it. Now select options and then your drive in the drop down menu. If you're using the benq then choose the VAD 6038 drive. Now click drive options then unlock drive. Note: You should see your benq drive in the top drop down bar. Then click the Read tab, select complete backup and the click the Read button.
