Has anybody else had a problem with their Via VT6421 sata card?
Whenever I have an Xbox drive plugged into it, as soon as iPrep detects the drive it hangs the computer.
I have removed the Via drivers from the Drivers folder in Windows 32 and have PortIO32 installed.
Anybody have any suggestions on this?

Re: Via VT6421 problems
Well the drivers don't matter in DOS. So if it's hanging up in DOS then I don't know but if you've got your drive plugged up and powered on in Windows, then Windows is freezing because it can't poll the drive.

No, in Windows it's ok
It's in Dos that I have the problems.
If I boot iPrep with power to the Xbox drive on, when iPrep runs through what's connected, it's fine until the second it sees the Xbox drive then it hangs making a constant load beep from the onboard speaker
If I boot into iPrep with power to the Xbox drive off, as soon as I switch on the power, the computer hangs making the same sound
I'm using a connectivity kit with the PC powering the Xbox drive so I wonder if it's something to do with that
Maybe I should try getting power from an Xbox console, ground the 2 out and bypass the connectivity kit
I suppose I could have a faulty connectivity kit
