hi guys....i want to go from 1.51 firmware to the latest 1.6 on my liteon drive...ive got the latest jf version 0.1.60....how do i install this ?.....i understand im suppose to delete some via.file from my pc...can someone tell me how to install this jf...? ta

i would hang on abit changein the firmware on that drive if its your only drive. You do have to disable your via drivers im not 100% sure exactly how. one of the other guys should be on soon thye will know how

yes..it is my drive...ive got a backup of the relevant files.....so cant really screw it up lol

cheers m8.. got JF installed..... is it the same procedure as the previuous JF versions?....do i need to extract the identify, enquiry etc files again ?...or can you just go straight to the flashibg 1.6 firmware..?..ta,

Make sure that you have selected the right i/o port and your drive shows in the drive properties box and you can just click on the dummy from ixtreme button on the dvdkey32 section with the drive half closed and you're good to go.

do i need the ck3 usb connected along with the drivers...? im thinking not, cos im basically just doing a upgrade to 1.6....sorry to ask such a dumb question but i dont wanna mess it up...lol ta

also when putting the ixtreme1.6 into the firmware folder in jf0.1.60...do i have to rename it ?...as ive read someplace that you have to ?.....so what do i rename it to ?

you will need the driver for the ck3 pro

ok mate...got that...when i click on "dummy from ixtreme"....i get the 3 files and the dummy and have saved them...when i click on the next part "to auto load"...i get the following error "cant open

ignore above....i changed it to "ix16-liteon.bin"......pasted it into the firmware folder and all went well...now im up to 1.6.....mind you havnt tested it with a ltest game yet...cheers everyone ...
