Re: ben-q stuck in vendor mode
Power up the drive with the tray half out, with everything hooked up and Jungle Flasher running. On the MTKFlash tab, click intro/Device ID. One of two things should happen:
1. Device is ID'd correctly and you can now select outro/ata reset to officially get your drive out of vendor mode.
2. You get an error message asking you to quickly turn your drive on and off in under 1 second. After which the above mentioned should happen.
If for some reason you get some anomaly response just post back up and let us know.

Re: ben-q stuck in vendor mode
Hi as you can see from my post I also had the Write Verify Failed, did you use Jf or iPrep? What I done was seen it successfully write twice which looked good but failed on the verification, anyway, After me seeing it erase/write the four banks I thought well I don't want it stuck in vendor mode and I may as well try it out, pressed outro/reset and booted my box.
all seems well,
I can boot backup/originals fine, and I am 99% sure the only reason I got Verify Failed was the fact I never saved my BENCFW.bin and just flashed what I gather is held in RAM.
I then gather there is no orginal file for the program to verify against if it is not held in RAM after flashing, I'm just guessing here.
Anyway did you Save your CFW to file using JungleFlasher? or directly flash?

I just pressed outro/reset and it worked.
Are you saving your CFW to file?
Let me know how you get on.
Post your log?

Re: ben-q stuck in vendor mode
Seriously man, same happened to me, and it was my first! try it, it will work.
You've kind of put my mind at ease exact same situation and I'm sure it will be fine.
I'm thinking minor bug in JF

Re: ben-q stuck in vendor mode
I done exactly the same as you using the same tools, JF 1.6, ix 1.6 and also got the verify error,
Did you save to file after the drive key is spoofed?? Please answer that?
Have you read my other Thread?
I am also on live and played hawx, just trying to reassure you man, as I was equally worried/confused, but as they say fortune favours the brave.
It did write successfully, if your not saving to file it may be the cause? Please confirm?

Re: ben-q stuck in vendor mode
That points to a bug in JFlasher to me man, both BenQs, both using JF 1.6 I gather? and iX 1.6.
I wonder if there will be more BenQ verify failed posts coming.
All I know is I just thought well if it has written twice successfully then I'm going to try it out, and it is fine.
