i am planning to buy a psp, , i saw ebay has PSP 2000 Slim Red ver: 5.03, can we mod this version??? i have no idea with PSP!

It goes hand in hand with the pandora battery. The battery allows the PSP to boot the magic memory stick. The memory stick is what holds the goods to be installed to hack the psp.

what if its already flashed what would i need then

If its already flashed, you shouldn't need anything. Other than a big ol' mem stick, maybe update it to the latest if its not already.

its not mine i remember some 1 i know saying theres was flashed but didnt know how to play the games. what kinda memory stick?

PSP's use Memory Stick Pro Duo cards. Once you get one, put it in the PSP, then use the PSP to format it. It will then put the folders and things that it needs on there. PSP iso's and ciso's will go in the ISO fodler that is in the root of the memory card.

Some of them can't be, those were the last runs right before the PSP 3000 came out.

As far as I know, you can't until you have it in hand and run the motherboard ID utility. On the ones that can't be modded, it just won't work. But that doesn't help any in your buying decision though.
