Hitachi Mode B

Post by staningrimsby »

Hi Guys,

Im sure the answer to this is a big no, but is there anyway of getting windows to recognise an hitachi drive in mode b using the ck3 connectivity kit ???

jungle flasher does not want to spoof my drive so i thought i would try and use "firmware toolbox", but i dont seem to be having much success using the slax disk. :(

CK3 has a mode b switch built into it. Just press it till it clicks and the light should turn red. Walah, mode b.

Yeh i did try that but sadly the drive did not appear in windows,

do you think it could have anything to do with the fact that i have renamed me "viaraid.sys" to ".bak"

for the purposes of JF ???

Yup. Try to disable the card in device manager, rename the file back to viamraid.sys and then re-enable the card. It may gripe about it and if it does, just re-install the via drivers and that will fix it. Just don't forget to do the work around later so you'll be able to do your other drives.
