Recommend a customer a good game burner? I heard that some drives like samsung 162C/D are good because of booktyping but now I figure that isn't that important thanks to updates. So my next question is will any burner that can burn dvd+dl be able to be a good burner for xbox 360 games?
Can I use multiple burners on my computers to burn 2 different games the same time since it takes 40min to burn each?

Re: Recommend a customer a good game burner?
for peoples opinion of the "best" burner, there was a pioneer burner that was mentioned alot a while back but i havent seen it mentioned for a while cause really.. it doesnt matter. any burner that can do dl discs will work. so its all about shelf life after that. i buy a cheep lg burner for like $25-30 and it lasts 6 months or more.
as for if you can burn several at the same time..
1st. ur legally only able to have 1 backup of ur original RIGHT?!?!?!
2nd. its recommended that u shut every non used app down while copyin and burnin, limit computer usage during that time, and reduce the burn speed.. all that to successfully burn 1 game PROPERLY.
so u would have no reason to do more than 1 at a time.

yes, no problem with that.....the only limitations are if the burners are internal that your power supply can handle it in addition to your cpu's ability to process...if they are external then your limitation is the ability of the cpu to process the data.mancougar wrote:well my real question is Can I use multiple burners on my computers to burn 2 different games the same time since it takes 40min to burn each?

you are asking for trouble with your backup if you start doing this.mancougar wrote:my real question is Can I use multiple burners on my computers to burn 2 different games the same time

I'm a bit confused by this. Did you mean 162c/d for burning as they're readers bought specifically to flash with Kreon firmware to allow dumping. As above i'd avoid burning 2 at once.mancougar wrote: I heard that some drives like samsung 162C/D are good because of booktyping but now I figure that isn't that important thanks to updates.

i can say the new pioneer 217 drives are AWSOME.. i had to buy a new dvd burner voz my old LG(about 2-3 years old) had trouble burning and its really slow now..
anyways, i already have 15 backups done and no coasters yet... (knocks on wood)

I have a Plextor 850SA and it was well worth the money. When burning a game it must be flawless or else you may run into issues with stealth files being corrupted which leads to a higher probability of being banned. Of course 1.6 wont even boot the game if those files aren't right. You've got to have a really high-end system in order to burn multiple games at once. And even then you run a pretty big risk.
