problem with ufc

so this game has me totally stumped. i have backed up more games than i can count and had a few hiccups along the way but nothin like this.

the game crc fails EVERY time i copy it! i have used both back up programs, different speeds, cleaned the disk, formatted my computer..
Its an original, in hand copy. i do everything the same as any other game(including other wave 3 games). back up the game, with seemingly no issues. i check the iso and stealth passes but the game itself fails. bad game crc. i tryed burnin it and it looks like it burns but with the other issues, i verify the disk and it has 24 misaligned files!
I have heard of people havin issues with downloaded games but an original? it doesnt make any sense!

what could it be?

The only thing I can think to do would be to back it up repeatedly until it comes out clean. Also if you're not getting any errors until you burn the disc, it might be your burner. Try backing up another game and see if you get similar errors if so it's probably your drive.

might be my drive? as in my burner or my kreon drive?
I dont have this issue with any other game. wolverine gave me a little trouble but then worked after the 7 or 8 try.
ufc however, i have tryed 30 times over the past week!
if that was the answer, what would make it "magically" work?
would that mean the kreon is on its way out?
