Definitley sounds like a hardware problem, I'm not too sure about Dosflash but maybe its hanging looking for a floppy drive?

Do you have a drive in your pc? If not disable the boot floppy check, I know Jungle Flasher throws up an unhandled exception error at startup on my PC due to having my floppy unplugged, but still registered in the BIOS.

Just a thought but I would experiment in the BIOS, double check that you are in fact on the primary SATA port.

Yep floppy is disabled and sata is plugged into the prim port... I've tried almost everything and becoming ever more frustrated with this drive, just ready to hurl it in the bin.

are ou trying to flash the samsung now then?

1) does jungle flasher see the drive when its connected to your comp?

if not have you got any on board sata ports you try and see if they work?

Do you have access to another PC?

Try the VIA Card in another PC, if you have no other Onboard SATA to try.

Unfortunately I don't have access to another pc at this time, so its just dead for me atm. I managed to spoof the samsung with 1.6(i think) by the windows version of dosflash. Its running 1.5 games fine, just slow, noisey and the tray is sticking. Pain.

The ms25 currently inside my 360 is failing to read any disks, its on its last legs.... Most of the time i'd be half way thru a game and get disk read errors...annoying.

No luck for you then mate, either have try and test your liteon or replace with another drive.

Just make sure you have your drive key ( and its a good 1)
