Re: problem with jf help
Did you turn the drive off and wait for the dots then turn it back on? Are you using a Ck3 or xbox to power?

Re: problem with jf help
do you have portIO32 installed? .....you cannot have the via drivers installed when you use JF. Has your setup ever worked? Please clarify your position so that we can help you.

Re: problem with jf help
im powering the drive with the xbox and i have never done a hitachi or used jf so im not sure if my setting are right i do have portio32 installed and my drive appears in jf but it says winapi i send mode b and it says hitachi found then i but flash ixtreme and my computer crashes can some one please let me know what im doing wrong thanks
Re: problem with jf help
I've never used PortIO when flashing a Hitachi drive. I've always had to use the WinAPI drivers. I've also had to refresh the drive list multiple times before the drive would show up. Also be very careful with your hitachi you can brick it fairly easy and then the only way to recover it is to pull the flash chip up and insert it into a PIC reader/writer.
