Well its is a small problem and just wondering if i am doing this right.
First off i watched the video about 3 times. And all works fine but my drive seems to jump a section on the reading and i have not gone on to flash the drive because of this. Every goes well untill it gets to reading the drive, well it does just that and the iprep gets to the end and says success! gives me a key and says i am ready for the flashing!! Why would it not do the open and closing of the drive? has it not read it right?
(now there is more to this story....I had to send off my xbox to the ms and they return it with a new motherboard and the same drive. I did flash that drive before and when it came back some ( i say some becuase it was about 10 disc out of 50) of the backups work???? does this mean that the old hack firmware stay in the drive when ms flashed???)
please help?? can i go on to the flashing safely???

Sounds like the Magickeys are unlocking the drive and putting it into vendor mode for you so the half open tray is not needed? Not 100% sure but I think that's right.

Re: flashing benq drive small problem
when you start iPrep and it gets to the part where it reads can you see it read;
0 ........
1 ........
2 ........
3 ........
If so it is reading and you should be fine, If you can see if the BenQ unlock button in JungleFlasher works, if so your cool, and ready to write.
Personally thats why I prefer the GUI of JungleFlasher, you get a more visual idea of whats going on.
If iPrep ever gets a DOS based GUI like the TrueImage GUI then I'm there!

Re: flashing benq drive small problem
When setting up iPrep, you used 1.6/1.51? Yeah? With the updated defs for these?
As long as you dBen create an OFW, then go onto fBen then it HAS the firmware you loaded in iPrep.
Is it possible the games that don't boot aren't stealthed properly maybe?
