yeah just download xbins 2008 from here, also download the update ixml file which is here aswell. Then open xbins and get the FW you need, benq 1.6. You get the iprep 009 on here too.

Once you have everything on ur desktop, install iprep, go to where its installed to and drag and drop the ixml file into its resources folder and it will ask you to replace, choose yes. Now iprep is ready. Load up your 1.6 FW, choose your sata port, for mine I had to swith it to IDE based, drop down the menu and you should see your port. choose your device, Obviosly the stick, Tick box to format and make bootable, the other box for batch files shud already be checked. Now prep the stck and your good to go.

Good luck ! ;)

The ixml def file is underneath iprep mate

Oh your back, LoL Ive been popping on all the time to see how its gone for you, Hopefully youl be up and running for the weekend then mate. Glad ive maybee helped abit but most the guys on here are dab hands with this sort of thing so dont worry youl be fine.

What I did was prepare the stick days before I flashed the drive, It dont matter like but its half the battle done, Then when you get the board you can just go straight ahead and boot into DOS. Dont forget to extract the ixml update file onto your desktop, Locate the resourses folder in the iprep installation, will be programmes/Iprep/Resources, Drag and drop the ixml file into here and replace the other one. Then your fully updated. If you ever get the message when trying to load the FW into Iprep where it says " No Valid FW " Just reinstall MS Net Framework, Either 2 or 3.5 it dont matter. Was doing this for me for ages and thats what the problem was and ive noticed alot of people come up with it. So just reinstall Framework then the FW will load ok.

Take Care ! ;)

just did it showed success when reading and i have a 256 k file called ofw and another 256 k file call cfw in backup is that right

once i flashed it i put it together and played an original game and worked fine didn't want to spend 50 bucks on dual layers and it doesn't work if it reads orginals it should read backups correct?
first time i turned it on it was red ring and the second time it just worked just want to make sure i won't get banned dont want to risk that..

other than that iprep was easy everything was on the screen.

I would use the latest iprep:
download/file.php?id=614" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Then update the definitions with this:
download/file.php?id=696" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This way you'll be able to flash it with ixtreme 1.6

Yeah, if you follow the tut and you went through iprep with no problems, then it should work fine. If you've only originals to check it with, you may run into problems with backups if they aren't burnt properly or burnt to poor media. Barring any of that, you should be good once you complete the flash.

I may be wrong guys but im worried he has only read the drive successfully and thats it, I hope not coz it sounds like its all gone good, Its just you mention the green successfull, and the size of the CFW and OFW.

Can you just confirm you got the green successfull read and logged back into windows to save the backup folder, Then you booted back into iprep and flashed the drive right ? Coz if this is the case it sounds good. LoL

Well Done man !
