do i need to update the firmware from 1.51 to 1.60 ?

i have a benQ drive and i am asking is it impotent to update the firmware to 1.60 ?

is there any important changes ??

and i want to ask about live

if you get online with 1.59 firmware i get banned from m$cro$oft ?

i know that if my drive is modifined i will get banned but does the firmware make the risck less ??

Im still using 1.51 as i have i have another drive to dump games off

1.6 allows you 2 dump games onto your pc and it has updates security, there is always a chance that you can get banned from live. Its just a risk you take playin your backups

i would just update to 1.6...i just did on my liteon about two days ago...i was having problems with the games skipping....i dont anymore..i guess the new 1.6 has the new wave 3 partion..so you can play the new game without any problem

1.51 will play wave3 games, any thing lower than that and the game will just hold at the green logo screen.

the activate iso.


you burn it to a d/l disc. if you have a game thats non stealth or wave x you put the activate iso disc in and then the next disc you put in will boot.
