upgraded firmaware game won't work

I just upgraded from 1.41 to 1.6 or at least i think i did, on a benq. I burnt sacred 2 and wolverine and popped them in and neither worked both came up as dvd with the 360 logo and nothing else. Any thoughts?

if you mean the green logo with the 360 logo, normaly that means your firmware wont play the game, i had that on a drive that had 1.4 on, or there might be a problem with your back up.

It sounds like a bad flash, dump the drive and check the key it's probably bad.

did he mean the screen when the older iextreme1.4 wouldnt play the wave 3 games?

OK thanks for all you input by the way. This is what I did. First I just flashed my benq with iprep as normal I didn't return to original just used 1.41 as ofw and made cfw with 1.6 fw, flashed and I got wolverine and sacred 2 came up as play DVD in the nxe screen, I click and it goes to the white background 360 logo with dvd controls. I thought I may have not flashed correctly so this time I used jungleflash and flashed to 1.6 as if flashing from stock drive but using older 1.4 fw as ofw, both times it said completed successfully, but still no game same as last time it says just play DVD. Any suggestions?

actually now that you mention it i put in a cod4 backup and it says please put game in an xbox360... wierd what did i do?

you have a bad key in your firmware
would be my guess

i actually don't have an original game but would jf pull the correct key if it pulled it from the 1.41 firmware because thats what i did im having a little problem getting a hold of the original key.

there is not reason to get a orig key

you have to have the orig dvd drive key from your drive
if you dont
then that console is bricked.
get a orig game (i cant believe you dont have a orig game)
and
test it out

I do have original games, I just don't have access to them at the moment. I just tried flashing again with 1.6 and I get the same error message when the game loads it goes to the white background xbox360 screen and the dvd controls come up. After reading i get the same key over and over and then flash. I have tried to play wav 3 and previous ones as well.

Flashing over and over isn't going to help if it's the key thats wrong. Get access to your originals and try them.

Problem is I won't be able to access my key for another 2 or 3 months. Is it normal for the drive to return a different key when you read a flashed drive?

It isn't normal, but quite possible though.
