Lite on swapping help!

Hello,

I wanted to know if this was possible for me to do.

I have a Lite on drive that only responds to dvd movies now after an accidental bad flash from another xbox. But I have my Key and everything from my other Lite on which I bricked as well.(Long story)

I wanted to know if it was possible for me to put my Key onto the Lite on that only plays dvd's and flash it with iXtreme in Jungle Flasher or something.

Is this possible?

Very possible. You would need to create a valid dummy.bin file using your key.bin file to provide the drive key. Then you would probably have to manually input the serial data. Once you have a valid dummy.bin, you can load that as the source, then load the ixtreme 1.6 firmware as the target, spoof the source to the target and then save the custom firmware. Then you can do the flash.

I already have the dummy.bin file from the drive that I bricked.(not the one that only plays dvd's)

And what do you mean by manually inputting the serial data??? Also, would I still need to erase the drive that Im flashing iXtreme on to? (which is the one that only plays dvd's)

If this dummy.bin is from the drive that originally came from the 360 you won't have to worry about putting in the serial data. So that should be fine. But yeah, you'll have to go through the erase and everything.

Hey when I do it I get a "Write verify failed" in jungleflasher.

I have the 72 status and everything. What am I doing wrong? Is it a bad erase?

Are you using a VIA card to do your flashing with?? If so, you may need to disable the VIA drivers. In my experience, if it flashed it and you are using a VIA card, it probably will work fine even though the verification failed. But if you want to make sure, and if you aren't running anything else of the VIA sata card, disable the driver and make sure that you have portio32 installed and go through the flash again.

Hey thanks, I am using a VIA 6421 card and have been able to flash perfectly using other drives.

But I've got a scary problem now. Once verification failed like I said, my computer was acting strangely as in the mouse cursor was moving slowly a sec at a time. So I tried turning off the drive and it was normal again. But when I put it back on my computer freezes.

I tried ejecting the drive with the CK3 but it doesn't eject...

I hope if isn't bricked...
