Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock

Post by NeoRio »

Hi there. Today I tried to backup my copy of Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock. It was the first time I have ever gotten an XBC error message when doing the Stealth check (yes, I still Stealth check with XBC before doing the ABG 360 check). I finally realized that this may be a Wave 3 game and that is why XBC, XDVD Mulleter and Schtrom all gave me errors that it was a bad rip. Then I used ABG 360 to Stealth check it and it gave me my usual 2 errors in the "Starting verification: Failed to find a verified .ini file for this xex/ss...Starting autofix, Autofix failed..."

At first I didn't know what was going on so I ripped it again with the exact same results. I thought I'd write in and double check that this is how Wave 3 rips look when checking them? On the 2nd time around I saw ABG 360 reporting that it was a Wave 3 game. So, does it sound like I have a good rip?--or is there something else in ABG 360 I should be looking for confirmation? The computer I'm doing this on is not connected to the internet right now, so I get 2 other error messages in yellow at the very top of the window about not being able to connect.

Thanks for your help.

Well without a concurrent connection ABGX won't be able to guarantee you that your copy is as good as it could/should be. I would say that if you've successfully ripped games in the past (I know you have) then you're good as gold. Granted there are times when no matter how you rip it it's going to be bad and it's just a matter of patching for the most part XBC does exactly what it's supposed to and nothing less.

Thanks for the answer. Do you think that the reason XBC, Mulleter and Schtrom gave me errors was simply because it's a Wave 3 game? I've ripped all my games (quite a few now), this is the first time I've gotten these messages. I've used ABG 360 while NOT connected to the internet before...but even when connected, I think only 1 of the games I've checked through that program came up as "found" on the database (granted, I haven't used ABG 360 for more than maybe 4 or 5 games).

I just need to know what error message ABG 360 would give me if this is a bad rip?
