Bricked/Firmware-less Lite On

Post by traveler »

Hello everyone! Here's my problem:

JungleFlasher
-I had my 360 flashed by someone to iXtreme 1.5
-I wanted to update it myself instead of paying him again
-Everything worked fine at first.. I got my dummy, inquiry, key, and identify files
-Erasing the Lite-On's firmware worked (for dosflash and Jungle Flasher)
-Then, while writing the 1.6 cfw, JungleFlasher froze at "Writing Bank 0"
-So I reset my computer and went back into JungleFlasher
-My DVD drive couldn't be found on JF and it wouldn't open by pressing the button

dosflash/iPrep
-I read a bunch of guides and watched tutorials to help
-Then I chose to flash using dosflash
-It couldn't recognize my drive at first, saying 'No ATAPI drive present at this port!'
-I erased the fw anyway, and tried to write the new cfw
-The SAME THING happened, dosflash stopped doing anything at "Writing Bank 0"

Now, I have an unrecognizable, un-firmwared Lite-On drive and I don't know what to do. Can anyone help? It would be very much appreciated!!

Here's what I would try: http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 195&t=3226" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You need to have IPrep v9 RHPG and your custom firmware from Jungle Flasher. Build your usb drive in Iprep then delete everything out except:

Dosflash.tpy
firmtool.exe
autoexec.bat
L-O-Eras.exe
then rename your custom firmware to lite_cfw.bin

Put the usb drive in and reboot with the lite-on attached. When you get to a command prompt c:\ type in L-O-Erase.exe "space no quotes" Then the port #. this should give you something like FF80, do it again and then you should get FF72. once you have that you then go into dosflash and proceed to flash.

Any more questions just post up.

Do you think it could be a hidden file?
Also, I tried it and couldn't get bast erasing. Whenever I typed 'l-o-eras.exe' the status stayed at FF80. This went on for a good 10-15 minutes before I gave up. Is it time for a new Xbox?

OK I just checked and when you prepare the jump drive to use with another drive it puts the autoexec.bat on the drive for you.

Try another port or another computer that might help.

Thanks, I followed the video and got pretty far.
Buuut in the end it froze at "Writing Bank 0"
Again..

I was so tired of it failing so I tried 1 last time; everything went well until I got to the last part. Would flashing the fw to 1.51 instead of 1.6 work?
