Wow what a day (Hitachi 79)

Post by technoe »

Holy crap here I go again, have I mentioned how much I hate Hitachis. I have a Hitachi 79 that I can't dump, flash, recognize at the same time. I can dump the drive when it's not recognized in windows but I can't flash it for the same reason. When it's recognized in Windows I can't dump it. I'm tried JF, FWTB, and slax 2.1. I've looked over all of the tutorials again but i'm obviously missing something. If you have any clue at all let me know.

There are a few hitachi's that I just can't get going on my setup either. I end up taking them to my Dell computer and using FWTB on them. Although I've never had a 78/79 that I couldn't do on my normal setup, usually they are 47's or 59's that give me headache's.

Well I'm having to start from scratch anyways. I had an extra hdd I was going to through a basic xp setup on and when I went to update it tried updating the files from my Vista install and screwed both installations. Now I'm redoing EVERYTHING in Xp. YAY!!
