Benq drive BRICKED or HALF BRICKED

Post by db256 »

Let me just skip down to the problem

It turned off while writing in JF now it has WTF FW

I want to fully erase it first before i Flash again, How do i do that because the drive freezes when i connect it to windows in desktop because it doesn't have FW basically. It CANNOT eject, i manual ejected it so its half way open but it also cannot close.

I still have the OFW and Key and the new Benq_CFW.

I figure i would have to restore the OFW to the drive for it to read, How do i do that

This is what happens when i try DOS

Fben or Dosflash do the same thing, on my port it says No identity possible (because it dont got FW) then the vendor thing says 0x80 ALL THE TIME. Next it say what ATAPI port to use a i put the number of the port and it says Unknown Flash chip

In JF my drive freeze anytime i connect while in windows, However i connected it and clicked intro device Id the same time i turned it on and it read it but it froze after that. Drive is in Vendor mode (it been stuck in it everytime i turn it on).

In Dosflash it now freezes when it gets to my ATAPI device

Give us some more info. How are you powering the drive? Have you tried IPrep? have you watched this video http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 195&t=5129" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?
