Benq Vad 6038 - wont go into vendor mode ideas ??

hi all newbie to the forum - been flashing for a few weeks had zero trouble with Sammy or Hitachi v79

Lite on took a bit longer but worked out fine after a few tut read ups, question is my machine running vista 32 bit

picks up the drive, ive tried the unlock BENQ tab in mtkflash comes back with device intro error 0x51

tried the intro/device tab same thing, tried swtiching it off mid cycle on the dots, tried tray half way etc

is there something im missing with the BENQ drive ?? im using the pdf for jungleflasher drives following every tip but nothing

read more and more over the last few days cant seem to find my problem

like i said jungle flashes other drives and goes into vendor mode nice and easy - help appreciated

Would have thought it indicated an incompatible chipset but seeing as you've done others its unlikely. Might be worth trying another sata port and a different sata cable. Are you using onboard or a via card??

using onboard sata/ide - my chipset is the ICH9 family (any problems with that)

other options AHCI or RAID /IDE

i down loaded a gigabyte gbb36x controller and lost the drive alltogether tonight then removed it still zip

its using the microsoft ISCSI initiator

my sata is intergrated 3gbs with raid


i'll kep digging and reading - but seeing as the benq is the easiest to flash i just dont understand WTF is going lol

if there is an alarming problem with above please share

correct mate nice work, nipped out bought the pci slotted Vt6421 via card and installed it no software let vista find it on boot up

and went into jungle fount the drive and bingo device id popped up then unlocked and were in heaven

cheers mate i did read somewhere that the onboard chipset wasnt compatible with the BENQ drive on another forum

so if any one reads this ICH9 onboard seems to work ok with some drives but not all



happy flashing all got another lite on to sort today this time with VIA card

If you're doing a Liteon have a read through this : viewtopic.php?f=63&t=4351" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as Jungleflasher has a tendency to freeze if you're using a via card with the viamraid.sys drivers enabled (vsmraid.sys for Vista).
