im having problems with 2 hitachi 79fl im using jf the drives show up in my computer i try to dump the ofw and it gives me (firmware corrupt key not found) what am i doing wrong ive done a hitachi 47 like nothing help thanks im using a vista 32 bit

I've never been able to get a hitachi flashed in Vista. I even resorted to putting a second hdd in my pc with on xp and jungle flasher so that I can do hitachis.

my personal flashing experience

Hitachi's dont like the via card 6421 they work better with onboard sata

the benq and lite on work better with via 6421

if you have a mobo with onboard give that a go

The only thing we can really tell you is to make sure your drivers for your via card are disabled, then try dumping the drive.

If that still gives you trouble, try an older version of JF. If that still gives you trouble, you may want to try xp/iprep
