nah your key wont be on your console case unless some body has written it there.

When you dump your key JF will ask you to save the files

ok yea its straigh forward now im gonna use jf just to get my key but i wanna flash with usb stick cause i herd lit-on with a via chip will lock the lit-on up is there a video on how to flash with dos after getting key im searching on youtube no luck yet finding what i looking 4

once you have created your firmware treat your drive as if its locked up

follow this


Making your new firmware.
open jungle flasher and.

1. select load source firmware
2. yes to load ixtreme
3. click manual spoofing
4. click load key.bin (select your key.bin)
5. click load inquiry.bin (select your inquiry.bin)
6. click ok
7. click save to file
8. save as litcfw.bin

Now save this to iprep usb drive folder Backup\1234567\12345
you may need to make the folder 1234567 and then inside that folder create the folder 12345 save the litcfw.bin in there.

opening tray follow pic below then.....
Once you can open the tray pull the tray out fully and push half way back in. Now, hook it up to the PC using
Connectivity Kit and Sata, power on and flash your new firmware.

Flashing your liteon in iprep.
Start iprep and do the following:

1. flit 1234567 12345
2. follow instructions (power cycle drive etc)
3. select W to write firmware
4. type when asked litcfw.bin
Thats it youre flashed.

do you have the right sata port selected

you should get in drive properties pld 162ds

make sure you have the correct com port which should say prolific usb


Yeah the rs232 cable plugs in the black slot on ur ck3 and goes to the computer serial at the back

you set up should look like this pic

Ignor the red light on the ck3

ok now i use the blue cable that comes with the ck3 kit pro to get the key can i use the same blue wires that the probe hooks on or i have to switch it to the green cable to flash it with in usb stick dos do i use the rs232 cable

set ur kit up like this i always leave the probe attached as my ck3 is in a fixed postion

this is a pic on how
replace the green cable with the blue 1 with your probe side of the cable being the closes to the drive

ok do i put the light on red to flash it with usb also the other end of the sata cable coming out of the lit-on drive will go to my via card

so i will set it up like that once i go to flash the usb stick

the other end of the sata goes to your via card. no you dont have the red light on as thats for mode b which you should not have switchd on.

The mode b is used for HIt drives


Have a good look over the information in the last few posts read it twice it will make sense

ok i am do i still have to hook up the rs232 cable from my conectivity kit the black connector to my motherboard its alittle confusing me

the only time you use that rs232 cable is when your dumping your key through iprep doin the jf way then flashin with i prep you wont need that cable as you already have the key

ok im using iprep 009 now i just load the lit-on firmware that i built also what com port do i use com1 or com3
and do i put a check on both boxes were it says format/makebootable and and include batch files

dont worry about the com port if your just going straight to the FLIT command

yeah make sure a tick is in both boxes

ok now i saved all my files key.bin - dummy.bin - identify.bin - inquiry.bin now when i click on load source firmware its not giving me the 3 boxes to add my files to

also when i boot into dos i type flit 1234567 12345 this is what it says Litcwf.bin for 360 1234567 12345 does not exist aborting
