I havent played guitar hero, but rock band has guaranteed that i will. I play the guitar in the house, halfway threw medium solo tour (5 star each song), dont beat the drums in the house the old lady thinks i make to much noise. However, played the drums with a full band with this weekend and had a blast. I woke up sore from all the beating I did. 8-) 8-) 8-)

well my brothers guitar was the first to go bad the strum bar would not work right.
they sent him a new one.
now mine is not doing right.the strum bar gets stuck down giving back input to the game.ive call and they are sending one out to me.
i then have to send the broke one to them.

These people should do more testing.

I always wondered how the mic works with Rock Band. What does it pick up...your tone, your timing or your vocals?--and how does it tell? I've asked every store worker who sells these and they all don't know.

That's exactly how our second guitar controller was when it arrived brand new. It took us a few days to figure out what it was doing wrong...it was the strum bar...would bounce up and re-strum (upwards)...which would cut the notes off if they were sustained ones.

I can almost play that good on the guitar. The drums is another thing. I've yet to get off the easy level on the drums.....

Believe it or not, that's nothing compared to what I saw at the NAMM show last week. They had a few Guitar Hero contests going on and the guys who were beating each round had nearly 200,000 points. It was playing that you would think to be impossible...that only a machine could do! They were probably about 17 years old. My son's pretty good...I can't touch him!

I think the GH series has some tougher stuff on the guitar thats for sure. Just to give you an idea CoFree, here is "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce. This guy does a nice job, he's not perfect, but still an awesome job:
